Top 4 most underrated Parisian tailors of the past

2. Max Evzeline

Max Evzeline was part of Le Groupe des 5 (created in 1956, Evzeline joined in 1957) which redefined Parisian tailoring and strongly contributed to Parisian style as we know it today with its distinctive fishmouth signature lapel.

Established rue de la Boétie and then rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, Max Evzeline was a renowned tailor among French showbusiness.

Here are two of his creations.

The first one is a jacket dated February 1995.

The second is a coat dated December 1971 and made with a cashmere Crombie fabric.

Typical Parisian details: fishmouth lapel, roped shoulders, rounded lining cut and the very sought-after hidden embroidered lighter pocket… Parisian tailors are indeed incredibly detail-oriented!
